Rescuing Lives inChile
PasiónVida's Impact
To date, we have trained 500 local pastors and leaders in biblical ethics with the goal of launching a national movement that rescues unborn lives and leads mothers to find salvation in Christ.
The Situation in Chile
Although abortion has been decriminalized in Chile since 2017, abortion is only permitted to save the mother’s life and in cases of rape or fetal non-viability; Chile has 6000 registered abortions annually, with an abortion rate of 0.03.
The abortion rate is defined as the number of women out of every 1000, aged 15-39, who had an abortion in a single year. Abortion data source: Abortion Worldwide Report
Our Strategy for Chile
Teaching the 4 Questions in a biblical, logical, and concise manner leads to the following outcomes:
- The treasuring of human life
- The rejection of abortion
- The proclamation of the Gospel, including Christ’s forgiveness, resulting in freedom from guilt.
- The rescuing of unborn babies by reaching one mother at a time.
Our strategy is to encourage rapid replication of our teaching content so that mothers and babies are rescued from abortion and come to faith in Christ.
